It's an immersive, all-ages fantasy faire, also known as, "Gathering of the Nerds." It started as a humble D&D meetup of a few hundred people and has grown into a ~12,000-person weekend event.
What you'll find there: costumed characters, fantasy encampments, gaming tables, artisan vendors, food and drink, live entertainment, interactive activities, merchant bazaars, and appearances by nerdy creators and celebrities. Think cosplay meets ren faire meets tabletop convention, with a heavy dose of fandom crossover.
Yes. NorseForged Gathering is an all-ages event. Minors must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
The gaming hall runs all weekend: TTRPGs, card games, board games, whatever table you can pull a chair up to. Outside, you'll find archery, Viking axe throwing, and hundreds of artisan merchants spread across the grounds. There are live performances, fire shows after dark, Nerd Prom (basically a nerd dance party), and more mead than you'd expect.
Encampments host classes, activities, and fully built-out immersive spaces you can wander into. The whole thing is designed to be a creative playground: bring your camera, your cosplay, your half-finished character sheet. It's a weekend where nerds get to stop explaining themselves and just be in it.
Camping isn't available at NFG 7. There's not enough space for both the event and a campground for this one.
